Description of the Item

Semainier in rosewood veneer with inlay around the drawers and beautiful bronze hardware. Piece has 7 drawers and sits on small cabriolet legs and is topped with a marble.

The work for this semainier is typical of the style from the transition period between Louis XV (1730-1760) and Louis XVI (1760-1789).

A semainier is a chiffonier (vertical chest of drawers) with 7 drawers, one for each day of the week. Semianier is very practical and decorative.
