Description of the Item

Gorgeous chest of drawers in mahogany veneer. Chest opens with four drawers and is decorated with beautiful bronze hardware. Two detached columns encase the chest, which is topped with black marble.

The style of this piece is typical of the French Empire period (1804-1814), however, the assembly of this piece suggests that the chest may have been built later in the first half of the 19th century (circa 1830).

An Empire "commode" with compact dimensions is rare to find. This commode will fit many rooms and will provide elegance and the added distinction for your decor.
